The Highly Favored Foundation acknowledges students at the Middle and High School level who demonstrate academic excellence and have possessed outstanding characteristics during the school year. This year Highly Favored proudly awarded the 2008 Laveta C. Polk Merit Trophy and Certificate to the following recipients: De'Ericka Blocker, Alexius Jackson, Alisa Jones, Tishina Jordan and Lonnese Murray. In addition, to the Merit Trophy and Certificate, Tishina Jordan was awarded the 2008 Laveta C. Polk Scholarship in the amount of 500.00.
